Hi!
I am Mily.I am an occasional ceramist, illustrator, pizzabaker, rafting guide and more! During the last few years, I have had my own ceramic studio, travelled solo through East Asia & worked many different jobs in Japan.
In 2022 I graduated form Product Design at ArtEZ in Arnhem (Netherlands). Where I started talking about lids, dirt, broken shoes and moldy beans. “Boring” you might say: “We have bigger and more important things to talk about, right?”.
Well, look closer & listen better.
As you might discover that you can learn the most from the most mundane.
Only by taking a closer look at a simple lid, for example, did I gain unexpected insights into ‘our’ current relationship with and perception of ‘nature’ (see my graduation work: Beyond the Lid). And I worked on a project in which Miso is the gateway to a more sustainable history.
Who knows, maybe we can find the solutions to the biggest challenges behind the doors of your kitchen cabinet.
