I am Mily. I graduated from Product Design at ArtEZ in Arnhem in 2022. I love talking about lids, dirt, broken shoes and moldy beans. “Boring” you might say: “What a waste of time! We have bigger and more important things to talk about, right?”Like climate change, for instance (pfffftt... where to begin?).
Well, look closer. Listen better.
As you might discover that you can learn the most from the most mundane.
Only by taking a closer look at a simple lid, for example, did I gain unexpected insights into ‘our’ current relationship with and perception of ‘nature’ (see my graduation work: Beyond the Lid).
So, who knows, maybe we can find the solutions to the biggest challenges behind the doors of your kitchen cabinet.
